Living Blues
 magazine, in its July 2024 issue, announced the winners of the 2024 Living Blues Critics' and Readers' Awards. This year, four Alligator artists received a total of ten awards.

Vocalist Shemekia Copeland was named Blues Artist Of The Year (Female) and Most Outstanding Blues Singer in both the Critics' and Readers' Polls, for a total of four awards. Copeland's new album, Blame It On Eve, will be released later this fall.

Copeland's four awards were matched only by GRAMMY Award-winning guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Christone "Kingfish" IngramHe was similarly named Blues Artist Of The Year (Male) in both the Critics' and Readers' Polls. He also won the Critics' Awards for Best New Recording/Contemporary Blues for Live In London, and for Most Outstanding Musician (Guitar).

Texas pianist/vocalist Marcia Ball was named Most Outstanding Musician (Keyboard) in the Readers' Poll

Kenny "Beedy Eyes" Smith, drummer for The Cash Box Kings, won the Critics' Award for Most Outstanding Musician (Drums).
