Bumble Bee Slim - Baby So Long [CD]

Bumble Bee Slim (Amos Easton b. 1905 d. 1968) was one of the most popular recording artists amongst the Black population of America in the 1930's. Between 1931 and 1962 he made almost 300 recordings, 200 of them between 31 and 43, proof of his amazing popularity. Unusually for Blues singers of singers of the period he was mostly a stand-up vocalist and despite our cover shot showing him with guitar he was not considered a good player and rarely used the instrument in recording sessions This selection of titles was recorded between 1931-1936 and has been especially compiled to bring this great Blues artists to a new generation of listeners.
