SPECIAL THANKS FROM ANN: I want to thank my family and my friends for understanding or at least tolerating this strange life I lead and love. I want to thank the members of the blues community for the acceptance, the warmth, encouragement and advice they have given me so generously and for the music I love. Special thanks to Bruce Iglauer and the Alligator staff for the unfailing support, to Gaye for a few years of music and a few decades of friendship and to the Saffire support team for keeping the band going. Also want to thank George Newman, Dave Harris, Mimi Rabson, Norm Bellas, Bob Margolin, Liz Morford, Joe Krown and Dave Peck, and all those many others for advice, solace and information on call. I want to thank Andra Faye McIntosh, Steve Freund, Tony Zamagni and Larry Gray for adding their wonderful music to this album and Sam Fishkin whose talent and peaceful nature make the studio a much less scary place.

SPECIAL THANKS FROM GAYE: I am blessed to have more than an extended family -- I have extended families. I am grateful to them all. To my Saffire Family -- thank you and I still can't believe it! To my Alligator Family -- thank you for taking yet another chance by recording my innermost feelings and allowing me to sing my heart. To my Family of Musicians -- thank you for sharing your knowledge and special thanks to Andra and Jack McIntosh and Judy Luis. To my Fredricksburg Family -- I pray I represent you well. To my Immediate Family -- what would I ever do without your love support and understanding? I thank you.

This year has been one of joy and pain. Not only have I survived, I am living -- living on what I perceive to be a higher plane. During my illness it was the love of my collective families and my Family of Fans that kept my spirit alive and out of the blue ignited that "Miz Thang" attitude. Thank you, God.
